Solar PV project development, from land to Ready-to-Build
A solar project is won or lost before construction starts. We find the right land, secure grid capacity and steer permitting until the project is ready to build and ready to finance.
- 01Land secured
- 02Solar resource validated
- 03Grid capacity
- 04Permits
- 05Ready-to-Build
What development covers
- Site prospecting and pre-feasibility
- Solar resource assessment and yield simulation
- Grid capacity studies and connection requests
- Permitting with energy authorities, municipalities and environmental agencies
- Constraint mapping: ecological and agricultural reserves, Natura 2000, easements
- Lease and surface-rights agreements with landowners
- Financial model: CAPEX, OPEX, LCOE and PPA or merchant scenarios
- Technical and legal data room for investors
How we work
- 01
Screening
We cross-check irradiation, topography, access and distance to the grid to rule out weak sites early.
- 02
Grid first
We prepare the grid capacity request and follow it through with the network operator.
- 03
Permitting
We coordinate design, environmental studies and authority reviews up to the generation licence.
- 04
Ready-to-Build
We hand over a project with land, grid and permits secured, ready to build or to sell.
What you get
- Pre-feasibility report
- Yield study and preliminary layout
- Permitting dossier
- RTB data room
Frequently asked questions
What is a Ready-to-Build (RTB) project?
A project that already has secured land, grid connection capacity and the permits needed to start construction. It is the stage at which a solar project becomes bankable and can be built or sold.
Why is the grid connection the critical point?
Without injection capacity near the site, a project does not move forward, however good the sun is. That is why we look at the grid during screening, before spending on more expensive studies.
Do you develop projects outside Portugal?
Yes. We prepare projects at European level and adapt permitting and grid connection to each country's rules.
Got land, a project or an energy bill to bring down?
Tell us the essentials. We'll reply with a first technical read of the potential and the next steps.
- A first technical read of the site's potential
- The next steps and any information still missing
- Confidentiality for your project and your data
