Land lease for solar farms

Land with sun, road access and a power line nearby can earn a steady income for decades. We assess your land and, if it has potential, propose a long-term lease to host a solar PV plant.

Illustrative diagram

What we assess on your land

  • Usable area, orientation and slope
  • Distance to and capacity of the nearest power grid
  • Access roads and existing easements
  • Zoning constraints and protected areas
  • Compatibility with grazing or farming
  • Lease or surface-rights proposal

How we work

  1. 01

    Send the location

The location or land registry reference and the approximate area are enough.

  2. 02

    Preliminary review

We check the grid, the constraints and the solar resource on site.

  3. 03

    Written proposal

If the land has potential, we present a clear lease proposal.

  4. 04

    Development

We handle permitting and construction. The land remains yours.

What you get

  • Preliminary land review
  • Lease proposal
  • Long-term agreement
  • Site restoration plan at the end of term

Frequently asked questions

What kind of land suits a solar farm?

Generally large rural plots with a gentle slope, good southern exposure, road access and a power line or substation within a reasonable distance. Grid capacity is usually the deciding factor.

What happens to the land at the end of the lease?

The plant is dismantled and the land is restored to the conditions set out in the agreement.

Do I lose the use of my land during the lease?

The area occupied by the plant is dedicated to the project. In some cases sheep grazing between module rows is possible; we assess each case.

Got land, a project or an energy bill to bring down?

Tell us the essentials. We'll reply with a first technical read of the potential and the next steps.
